Alongside the usual game, a special collectors edition. The latest reports are that Ubisoft will be pushing Far Cry 2 into its 2021/2022 fiscal year thanks to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sadly, it sounds like we're a "far cry" away from a Far Cry 2 remake. Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 2 will be released on October 24th on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Just like Capcom has seemingly paused work on Resident Evil remakes to make room for the upcoming Resident Evil Village, don't expect any news on a potential Far Cry 2 remake to come out until Far Cry 6 has found its stride. Some suggested a Far Cry 2 remake could be bundled in with Far Cry 6 - similar to what Ubisoft did with Assassin's Creed 3 in Assassin's Creed Odyssey - but it's a bit of a stretch, to say the least. Here, the warring lands are ruled by "El Presidente" Antón Castillo (played by Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito). The upcoming next-gen title looks like it will be the biggest yet as we head back in time for a trip to the fictional Caribbean island of Yara. Ubisoft has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of open-world shooter Far Cry 2 will be. It's a nice idea that a Far Cry 2 remake could be on the way, but let's remember Ubisoft will be channelling all its efforts into Far Cry 6. has Ubisoft stepped in to announce that the company is 'confident' that Far Cry 2 will ship in the Autumn of 2008, simultaneously on the PC, the Xbox 360. Far Cry 2 DLC releasing later this month.
